2020 POPPY DISTRIBUTION - TRADITIONAL PAPER POPPIES and VIRTUAL POPPIES
Thank you to the following sponsors, who during the pandemic, supported our Poppy Program by assisting us distribute traditional red paper poppies at their business locations or place of worship: ANG Grocery, Churchville Agency, Food Towne, Jitters, North Chili Resturant, Stones Countryide Tavern, United Church of Christ, Riga Corners.
And, thank you to those individuals who, during the pandemic, supported our new Virtual Poppy Program where we for the first time distributed poppies virtually via our website and who met the matching challenge to introduce this new program to our community: Tom and Sue Adams, Gilbert Budd and Pamela Moore, Don and Sue Josephson, Ken and Tish Juergens, Jack and Lorraine Linder, Brianna Lynch, Arlene Martin, Harold and Mary Martin, Vivian McManus, Joe and Sandy Olsovsky, Dan and Ginger Parker, Dolores and Frank Perry and Nancy Weber.
THANKS TO ALL ! ! ! Even in this difficult time, with the generosity of all our sponsors, we are well on our way to meeting our annual goal.
For years, we have been talking about setting up a website for the Legion. The pandemic caused us to tackle this task. Setting up a website that allowed us communicate with the entire community how to Honor Our Hometown Heroes - 2020 Style was a major undertaking. And, it could not have been done if two of our Auxiliary members, who are local businesswomen, one a professional photographer and one an attorney, did not combine their talent and commitment to the effort of making sure that those who gave their lives defending our nation and our freedoms were not forgotten on Memorial Day.
Thanks to Briana Litolff Lynch who operates the photography business: Memories by Briana and Pamela Moore who operates the Law Office of Pamela Moore for creating our website.
